Is there a substitute for the cream in this recipe for those of us who don't eat dairy?

Hello Sandy,

I was diagnosed with PCOS on Feb 2009, a very intelligent endocrine doctor here in Miami said that she believed it was my diet and removed all processed non-organic food from it and all the medications that I was taken to overcome the symptoms that I was suffering from. A year later I am happy to say that my hormones are normal and my hair is growing back (I was developing male pattern hair lose). I can honestly tell you it works, good luck on the life change. And yes it is a life change I fell of the wagon for 4 months and started feeling the symptoms again.

It is good in the beginning (for example ... the first two or three weeks) to stay away from all grains. This allows your insulin receptors to come back to a more normal sensitivity level. Also, many people are gluten sensitive and don't even know it.

Then, later, you can add back a little whole grains and see how it goes.

Hi Brenda and Sandy,

First, Sandy I want to say good luck and I really hope that this helps you in your goal! Please let us know how things are going for us and share you story here, on Facebook or on Twitter. If you have any questions or anything I can do to help, please let me know!

As for your question Brenda, whole grains are allowed on the diet but only after you get the processed foods out of your diet and then still in less quantity than in other diets (or that you might be accustomed too). If you are reading the Perfect 10 Diet right now you can find the info about whole grains in the information related to Stage 2. I hope that helps!
